Matt Widmann used this deck at the GenCon 1997 Final Brawl and National Championships, and made the finals in both tournaments. Matt spells the deck's name without c's but Andrew included the c's so I've shown in both ways.

SMACK BACK YAK ATTACK
by Matt Widmann

Matt used this deck in both the Final Brawl and Nationals at Gencon 97 and did very well with it in both events. I never played against it myself but it clearly draws much of its strength from the combination of damage dispensers: Final Brawl, Booby Trap and Jagged Cliffs with immune characters: Marisol, The Prof and Yakuza Enforcer.

Many of the traditionally strong Dragon cards are there but it is interesting to note that Ting Ting's right hand man, The Golden Gunman, is not present. Then too, there is only rare feng shui site - I wonder why Fox Pass was not included - it would work well with several cards in this deck.

I sense that the deck was built to deal with a strong Lotus presence - Hacker, Shamanistic Lieutenant, The Crucible and Thunder on Thunder all seem like anti-Lotus cards to me. This was not needed at Gencon 97 but I suspect that, after Throne Wars, Things will be different ...
