From 19 May 2003 to August 2006, this list was hosted on Shadowfist.com, and I'd guess it was official there since it was polished in a few places :) After the Shadowfist Games makeover of the website in August 2006, the list disappeared. I will continue to maintain it here, update currently waiting on publication of the Two-Fisted Tales, Shurikens & Six-Guns, and Critical Shift fiction.

Here's my unofficial list of the characters who've died or had significant trauma inflicted upon them just so you could enjoy a progressing storyline. The list is in chronological order, by set, and is current through Seven Masters vs. The Underworld (fiction for Two Fisted Tales hasn't been published yet). I've included card images where I have permission and made time to scan them; click an image to see a larger version in a new window.

I distill this list from the card tag lines and the "official" fiction, or for some of the older stuff, from the fiction in the Daedalus Players' Guide. None of this information comes from the Feng Shui RPG, which you may know doesn't share the same progressing storyline as Shadowfist. In some cases, the deaths are ambiguous (no body found, yadda yadda), so don't be surprised if some of these folks turn up again later.

Some sites have been destroyed too (like Arcanotower Now, Biomass Reprocessing Center, Monkey House, Fortress Omega, and the Temple of Celestial Mercy) but I haven't compiled those yet, because it's not as easy to tell from the stories :)
