[posted 15 Nov 2002; updated 13 Dec 2002]

A short description of each of the characters in (or mentioned in) the Year of the Dragon story, in the order they appear in the story. I've also included references to their Feng Shui RPG writeups.

Gao Zhang - leader of the Eaters of the Lotus (you knew that one, right?). He appears in the Feng Shui rulebook, and there are oodles of details about him in the Feng Shui supplement Thorns of the Lotus.

Fo Shen - Lotus agent assigned to cultivate the Purists in the 2056 juncture. He is the source of most of the information about the Purists that appears in the Daedalus Players' Guide.

Harvest of Jade - the Emperor of China in 69 A.D. He appears in the Feng Shui supplement Thorns of the Lotus.

Three Rats - an agent deep within the Lotus organization in the Netherworld. Who he works for is unknown. Three is a new character created for this story; I had intended that he appear in Netherworld 2 as a card, but...

Draco - Lodge enforcer; the biggest gun in the Lodge arsenal. He's described in several Feng Shui supplements, most completely in Back For Seconds and Seal of the Wheel, but he also appears as "Drago" in Golden Comeback.

Sam Mallory - Lodge enforcer who was duped by Dunwa Saleem in Flashpoint.

Dianzi - Vivisector in 2056 juncture, working with Homo Omega on his sinister plot, whatever that is. The name comes from the Daedalus Players' Guide; it's mentioned in the long Architects fiction piece.

Kang Pao - transformed dragon who led the Ascended to victory over the Monarchs. Badly hurt during the battle, and only recently recovered. She's not happy with the way the Lodge turned out. She appears in the Feng Shui supplement Golden Comeback.

Quan Lo - the Perfect Master; leader of the Guiding Hand. Described in the Feng Shui supplement Blood of the Valiant.

Wong Fei Hong - Guiding Hand operative, who favors justice over strict adherence to the Hand's principles. Described in the Feng Shui supplement Blood of the Valiant.

Tricia Kwok - Hong Kong cop recruited by Kar Fai. She is mentioned in the Operation Killdeer fiction, and she appears in the cinematics in the Daedalus Players' Guide.

Ting Ting - Dragon buttkicker from 69 A.D. juncture. She's described in the Feng Shui supplement Golden Comeback.

Kar Fai - co-leader of the Dragons, responsible for the buttkicking side of operations. Described in the Feng Shui rulebook, and the Golden Comeback supplement.

Dr. John Haynes - Archaeologist along the lines of Indiana Jones, working for the Dragons in 69 A.D. He "writes" many of the sidebars in the Feng Shui supplement Thorns of the Lotus.

Four Burning Fists - demon summoned by the Lotus to wreak havoc at Nine Dragon Temple.

Little Jim - former Abomination, free now and working with the Dragons.

Homo Omega - big badass Abomination. Has his own plans for the future of humanity (we find out more in Dark Future). Described in Back for Seconds and Seed of the New Flesh supplements.

The Iron Monkey - Robin Hood of the 1850s martial arts world, associated with the Hand but mainly doing what he thinks is right and just.

Jason - Jason X, believed by the Dragons to have been killed in 2056 during Flashpoint. Actually captured by Homo Omega as described in the Feng Shui supplement Back for Seconds, and seen again in Dark Future.

Thing with a 1000 Tongues - giant demon summoned by the Lotus to destroy Nine Dragon Temple. Described in the Feng Shui supplement Back For Seconds.

Melissa (Aguelera) - jungle combat specialist working for the Dragons. Met Sam Mallory during Flashpoint.
